Toilets

Toilet problems can consist of a toilet clog, a toilet leaking or a toilet not flushing due to the "guts" of the toilet wearing out and failing. Toilet clogs are very common and can often be fixed with a plunger. If plunging doesn't take care of the clog then you might have a deeper issues with your line. Multiple toilet backing up or sewage coming up a drain other than a toilet can be a sign that your mainline is clogged.

A toilet leak can happen at the base of the toilet or from the tank of the toilet. If your toilet is leaking at the base of the toilet it might be a sign that the wax seal needs to be replaced. A toilet that is unable to flush because the parts inside the toilet,"guts", might be worn out or malfunctioning. Homeservice Plumbers is open 24/7 and we offer emergency service.

A Tip For Your Toilet

Check for leaks. Toilets can sometimes have a leak without you even knowing. This can be caused by a faulty flapper in the toilet tank. When the flapper doesn’t seal right it will allow water to leak into the toilet bowl. An easy way to test if this is happening in your toilet is to take off the tank lid, add several drops off food coloring to the water (enough to visibly change the color of the water) and wait 30 minutes. If any trace of the color is in the toilet bowl then you have a leak.

Toilet Running

Do you hear a never ending sound of water refilling in the toilet tank after you flush it? This type of plumbing problem can waste gallons of water in turn raising your water bill. The main causes of a running toilet are the flapper chain being the wrong length, the flapper not sealing correctly due to being dirty or broken, or the float being set at the wrong position. Our team at Homeservice Plumbers can get this fixed for you right away! Give us a call to schedule your service.
